We heard about this great pumpkin patch - Lakeview Farms - it lived up to it's name. We told Ross he could ride a train and a boat to go pick our pumpkin and he talked about doing it the rest of the morning until we went...and then all in the car...and then when we actually did it. :) The only downer was that it was $4 to do it...and you only got to do it once. Ross wanted to ride them all day instead of just one time each - he did have fun with some of the other things they had going on though and it was a fun day. :)
Cute Scarecrows
Almost 3 feet!
The jaw dropping train
Pure happiness! (You just have to wave if you're on a train...even if there's no one to wave to.) :)
On our way to the patch
His face says, "I can't believe we're on a train!"
We even got to go in a haunted tunnel!
The Patch
Ross wondering why we're slowing down...he wants to ride it again.
Ruby was quite content
The train pic
Must have family pic
They had a cute hay maze for the little kids - Ross did it over and over.
Daddy trying to figure out the maze. :)
Love these faces :)
Whoops - dead end!
He was raising his arms saying, "We did it!" after getting out of the maze.
Happy girl.
Ross wanted a green pumpkin so he was on the hunt.
Taking a break - finding a pumpkin to sit on.
Ross was looking REALLY hard. :)
Yes Ross is WAY back there - we're awesome parents who always keep our kids close. ;) Don't worry - there wasn't anywhere for him to go.
The boat ride back :)
A pirate barge to pass
Complete with sea monster.
There was also a shark up ahead that sprayed us :)
Ruby couldn't handle the flash - haha!
Snack break!
Sharing
Delish :)
Steve also took Ross on a walk to the Fernhill Wetlands and got some great pictures of the geese and other birds that are hanging out there during the migration.
I love how Ross is glowing here. :)
Steve took this pic - I LOVE it. Ross - our total BOY - throwing rocks in the water (love the sesame street diaper poking out.
Very focused :)
Enjoying a sweet bridge
Beautiful
He and Ross brought me and Ruby tonight - we went around 6 right at dusk and while we were walking enjoying the bridges and walking paths, an ENORMOUS sea of birds started getting louder and louder and then emerged over the trees over our heads swarming around all over the sky. Of course I left my camera, but it was AMAZING - like the Swifts and Chapman's amazing - but maybe more so. I had never seen anything like it! I felt like I was in the movie, "The Birds," but they weren't attacking us (or pooping on us for that matter). It was pretty sweet.
