Pumpkin Patching at Jaker's Pumpkin Patch

We had to do our traditional pumpkin patching.  Last year Ross about died and went to heaven riding the train they had at the pumpkin patch.  This year there were other treasures to try out.

"Punkins!" Ruby LOVES seeing pumpkins everywhere.

The only sort-of-not-really-decent-picture I could get of these two in front of pumpkins.  Also - I love overalls on little boys - ALWAYS

Big Foot!

Ruby, who's usually addicted to slides, wasn't so in to the slides they had at the patch, but Ross LOVED it.  He didn't want to stop.

Grandma Claudia came to have fun with us!

Slides are awesome :)

Corn kernels to land in - beautiful.

Ruby bracing herself ;)

We went for a tractor ride and then trekked out to find our perfect pumpkins.  Remember, Stephen is a picky pumpkin picker.  We had to go two thirds of the way to the end of the pumpkin patch before he was satisfied we had a good selection.  Ross first chose two little pumpkins and then finally chose a white one when we told him he needed a bigger one too.  Ruby was also happy with a little white one for her.

Tractor ride!

Ready to go!

I can't believe how big these two have gotten!

Look at what they looked like last year!

Ross was very diligent looking for his pumpkin.

He found his two little ones ;)

Ruby found some moldy ones too ;)

Ruby happy with his pick :)

Ruby looks way too grown up in this picture.

Seriously - WAY too big!

Got our pumpkins!

Hooray for pumpkin patching!

We got back with just a bit of daylight left to sneak a peek at the petting zoo animals.  There was a huge fat pig, llamas, sheep, and goats to see.  Ruby wanted to run around looking at them over and over.  All in all they loved it and it was another successful tradition.

Total sheep face :)
