Ruby at 11 Months

Little Miss Ruby waits for no man - not even if you are moving in the middle of it all!  She continues to be our Little Miss Disneyland.  She has found she can vocally let us know what is what and exactly what she wants these days. Her Christmas Eve present was taking her first two steps!

Ruby's 1st Christmas!

It's blurry -but her smile is SO sweet!

This captures Ruby's personality SO well!

She is 22lbs - 72nd percentile - she has been working off her cute chub with how crazy she is crawling and cruising everywhere lately , is 30 1/2 inches tall - 93rd percentile, and has an 18 1/8 inch head circumference which is the 81st percentile.
If I want her to hold still even for a second, she MUST have something in her hands.

She found my paper...

She loves to mimic the sounds you make and laughs at you while you try to get her to try new words or sounds.  She can say, "Hi!" - she loves that one, "Baby" "Mama" "Dada" Yaya" "No no" and "Heeeey".  I think she's found how to say "No" because we're telling Ross "no" a bit more lately and he also likes to say it to us.  She definitely knows what it means. Her Uncle Thomas who has already conditioned Ross to say that Thomas is his favorite uncle is already training her to say , "Thom" which comes out as "Ta" right now.  Oh dear.

You can see what she did to my paper...

She is completely over baby food though it goes down better and works better on her digestive system. She likes to feed herself until she's bored and would rather throw it off her high chair and look at it on the round.

As of two days ago she's been playing with her balance and can stand up by herself - 10 seconds is her record.  She cruises around and likes to walk while she holds your fingers.  She still likes to poke everything - especially buttons, (and put her finger up her nose - it just fits so perfectly) and is a VERY speedy crawler.

She loves cruising around.  She took her first two steps on Christmas Eve!
I love her Christmas leggings :)
This was in between her finding and destroying my paper.

Poor thing got a cold right before Christmas, but still manages to stay happy!

Her hair is starting to get longer and I can fit some bows in it finally.  She likes to use your legs to pull herself up on and then look at you with her adorable baby blues and yell at you to pick her up.  Once there she does a quick perimeter check from above before usually trying to get down once again.

Some of her favorites:
Oranges,
strawberries,
cheerios,
mashed potatoes,
chewing on her shoes,
following Ross around still and laughing at everything he does,
laughing like she's in on every joke,
getting thrown up in the air,
climbing stairs whenever possible (though she has no idea how to get down them)
pulling on necklaces and earrings
throwing things off of higher places and waiting for you to pick them up for her
being in the middle of ALL the action.
Always up for fun. :)

We loves our little Rubix Cube and are so excited to have her first Christmas together!  Hapy 11 Months Rubes!
Her hair actually holds bows sometimes!

We love our Rubes!
