A Few What We're Up To Things and Cousin Alex's Baby Blessing

Well with all the situating and hanging with family we haven't gotten out quite so much yet.  We had some great Oregon friends, the Blancos stop by so Davin and Ross could play.  Ross really wanted to go to Davin's house (in Oregon) and was put out we couldn't go there.  They had fun. I was jealous they get to go back to Oregon!

I wanted to take a picture of Davin and Ross - Ross was not into it.  I bribed them with fruit snacks which completely sold Davin as you can see...not Ross though - he didn't buy it.

Davin's trying so hard right here!

Ross did give Davin a hug good-bye at least. :)

We also got to have Rachel and Dain come up with my parents to celebrate their birthdays this month.  We had cake and ice cream and played the Golf card game. :)  So fun to have them!

The birthday kids!

Ross was jealous they got to blow out candles...so he needed one too.

Present time!  Ruby loved the tissue paper.

So ever since the movie Saving Mr. Banks was in a preview I have been telling Steve that he was going to take me on a romantic date to go see it.  The list of things required included a romantic dinner, flowers, him serenading me with a song, a special gift, and the movie. I reminded him of this EVERY time we saw any ads or previews of Saving Mr. Banks.

He followed through over the weekend.  We headed down to my parents and got them to watch the kiddos while we went.  We tried a new place called Wild Mustangs - splitting ribs (yes - eating with our fingers like cavemen - it was deemed romantic due to its deliciousness), Steve gave me my special gift - a poem he wrote me called "The Middle" which was amazing, we walked around talking for a bit and saw the movie - extremely well done and incredibly sad.  The flowers and song will be saved for another romantic date - which I'm excited for already. :)

Ruby either blocking or sneezing a spoonful of sweet potato

Bath time!  Ruby loves the bath - she tries to get in all the time.

Flashing some teeth - she got her other top tooth in about a week ago.

Ruby loves climbing up on Ross's bed - it's her "place" when we're playing in his room.

Daddy snuggles

Stories with Grandpa.  She keeps giving him the book until he pulls her up and reads it to her.

The next day was my nephew (I love saying that) Alex's blessing.  He looked so cute in his outfit, and it was a great blessing - though I didn't get to hear it due to Ross being quite concerned why all the uncles, Daddy, and Grandpa went up to the front.  He is a wonderful addition to the White family and we are ecstatic to have a cousin.  Ruby loves stealing his binky and touching his face.  Ross likes to coo at him. :)  What a fun weekend!

Adorable Alex!

Beka made his cute suit.

The family :)  Beka, Nate and Alex

I love tongue smiles :)

He has the most adorable eyes!

Ross wearing Grandpa and  Tom out.

Ruby chillin' with the Uncle :)

Ruby showed off her balancing skills and teased us with taking a handful of steps every once in a while.

Gramps pulling rings out of ears, noses, and mouths.  Ross would try to put it back in...that's when it got a little sketchy.

Remember how I said Ruby loved Asians?  This is Young's mom visiting.  Ruby preferred her over everyone - even me!  She's saying, "See ya mom!  I'm going back to Thailand!"

This was Young's mom's friend who is a Buddhist Monk!  She loved Ruby too :)

Ruby found a friend...

Who wouldn't let go!

Boys doing some Ping Pong playoffs...

Me and my cute Nephew!  I love being and Auntie!
The Grandparents with the kiddies :)

The White Clan!

And this weekend my Rubes is turning 1...it's gone way too fast!!

Happy New Year 2014

Well for New Year's we got together with mine and Steve's family.  We had food that was delicious and terrible for us, games, laughing, poppers, and toasting of course. :)

Ross got to ring in the new year by going home with Grandpa for a sleepover - they both rang it in a bit early that night....so Grandpa tells me - who knows when they went to bed!

Ruby has a serious thing for Asians...seriously - she was Young's best friend and tried really hard to stay up as late as possible.

She eventually had to throw in the towel at 9. :)

We played some 5 Crowns and others played Monopoly Deal

About 10 I hit the "I'm so tired everything is funny" wall.

We actually made it to midnight though and rang in the New Year with a smooch!  Woot woot!

Tom and Young getting a bit tipsy with the sparkling cider...it was delicious that's for sure.

Cheers!

Something was in Claudia's glass!  A spider ice cube!

She definitely screamed!

Nate and Beka cheersing it in!

Dain and Rach - the newlyweds ringing in their first New Year's...Michael and Tom photo bombing - can you find Tom?...we need to get these guys some girls! ;)

Don and Claudia ready to call it a night! ;)

May 2014 be another great year!
